Unraveling the Old Stories: A Collective Reckoning Under A Gemini Sun.

— There’s a word I’ve been using a lot lately: becoming. It tunes into this living idea of who one is and how they actively grow into what's next. —

It seems that throughout much of the spring and summer I’ve been grappling with this flow of energy. My 'becoming': what exactly am I destined to do, who am I evolving toward, and how does that version of me differs from who I was two months ago, two years ago, or even two decades ago. It isn't just me either. I've noticed that many of my clients are also figuring this out on their own through some of the work we are doing together.

Perhaps that's what brought me awareness to the fact that there’s a mirrored echo running through the collective currently, a call to rewrite personal narratives that no longer fit. It’s like many of us are realizing we’ve been fighting against a straitjacket — one we didn’t even know we were wearing until very recently... The limiting factor here being our beliefs and perceived expectations. What may have at one time offered a sense of security or seemed "normal," as these lines and roles kept us within a tidy framework which allowed others to comprehend our stories, now feels confining much like the way an ill-fitting garment — two sizes too small — cuts into your skin.

But lately, I’ve been wondering: what is it about the collective that’s stirring all of this up? Yes, there are countless world events unfolding and you could point to any number of them as evidence that the collective is waking up. We’re becoming more willing to see past stereotypes, or at least more intentional about trying to. And in many cases, we’re finally choosing to look beyond the narratives we were handed.

But then something really stood out to me about the astrology of right now. There’s been a series of strong oppositions unfolding — all involving one particularly decisive goddess — but over the last couple of weeks, it has really sharpened.

Around the last week of May, we saw the Sun move into Gemini while Venus was sitting at 21° that sign, in a mid‑strength opposition to Lilith. By the beginning of June, that particular opposition had faded, but something new was taking shape: an opposition between the Gemini Sun — bringing energy of clear awakenings and a clarified voice — and the Dark Goddess, Lilith, positioned in the antagonistic mutable sign of Sagittarius that champions philosophy, knowledge, and learning.

Today, June 10th, 2026, they sit in exact opposition at 19°. They’ll only hold this exact alignment for about the next 24 hours, but by week’s end, when we experience the coming New Moon, both the lunar and solar energies will be opposing transiting Lilith.

This is certainly intensifying the underlying tensions we have all been feeling. Essentially activating the areas where we feel judged or have been judged unfairly in the past, particularly if we've faced public criticism or been dismissed for our beliefs, philosophies, or thought processes. Additionally, it highlights a potential clash between our instinct/impulses and logic... The thing about impulses is that they’re often directed by the subconscious. An impulse, by definition, happens quickly — there’s no time to logically map out solutions. These are gut reactions, instinctive responses to stimuli.

And collectively, we’re seeing an urge to question the beliefs we were raised with — whether they came from authoritative figures in our families or from the authority we once projected onto people in our worldview. We’re becoming far more willing to publicly challenge outdated narratives. And if we’re going to challenge their outdated narratives, how could we not challenge our own? This idea that many truths can exist at once forces us to place our personal truth under the microscope as well. That undertaking can lead many of us into a restless, agitated kind of energy.

For those of us already struggling with mental overstimulation — whether through neurodivergence, an excessive workload, or a mix of both — this transit can feel like an urgent push to “figure things out.” It’s as if there’s an invisible clock ticking, pressuring us to reach clarity before time runs out. The difficult part is realizing that we control that clock. We can take the batteries out. We can stop the hands from spinning... Slow everything down long enough to actually sit with what’s unsettling us in this moment.

So We've Thought About It, Realized The Plot Is Behind & Storylines Need Revised. Now What?

As someone with a plethora of Gemini energy in my natal chart, you're reading the ramblings of a woman who deeply believes that words can be healing — that rhetoric can connect not just individuals, but communities, societies, and the world as a whole. That healing can happen through storytelling passed down from elders to the young, or through journaling where we speak to future versions of ourselves.

I've recently revisited some of my journals, including entries from just three years ago. Although three years isn't a long time overall, I noticed how much my mindset has changed since then. Despite this, both past and present versions of myself are still dealing with many of the same challenges. So, why am I still trying to rationalize these issues after all this time?

Of course, it makes sense to feel triggered by being misunderstood. Of course, it makes sense to want to rewrite that narrative. But we also have to ask: if we already know the narrative is false — if we know the truth of who we are — why do we feel such urgency to rewrite it for others? What part of our shadow is activated when we over‑explain ourselves or over‑defend what we believe is worth justifying?

Why do we need others to see us as “right” in order to feel grounded in our own truth?

With the New Moon arriving at the end of the week, Gemini’s curiosity will be heightened. It influences us to learn, to gather information, to make sense of everything — but it doesn’t always give truth the time it needs to settle. It can feel like a drive-by awakening: you collect the insight quickly, but it’s not until you’re a few miles down the road that you realize what you just witnessed.

The thing with Sagittarius is that it carries a raw, instinctive truth. It doesn’t apologize for what it chooses to unfold within you or what it chooses to reveal to the world. It simply presents itself. Because of that, this is a time to be acutely aware of casual dialogue and simple conversations. There's truth hiding in the slip of tongues — in the things said that cannot be unsaid. When you really listen, you can hear where the prejudice or the stereotype is tucked inside the words.

And yes, I absolutely think this will cause many of us to question where — and with whom — we allowed our moral compass to be shaped in the past. Part of the urge to rewrite our narratives comes from wanting to distance ourselves from those influences, to prove to ourselves just how far we’ve grown in our own psyche.

Then we’re left with the deeper question: How willing are we to sit in discomfort? 

Especially discomfort with ourselves, or with loved ones who may still be deeply intertwined with our daily lives. How do we analyze an ugly truth? How do we hold it with compassion and contempt? How do we care for ourselves — or for others — who, for one reason or another, are still bound to ideas rooted in shame, control, or power?

Can we, as individuals, resist the urge to assign roles to people simply because we were molded to believe those roles were supposed to exist? And just as importantly, how dare we allow others to label us in ways we would never label ourselves?

I don’t have the complete answer, but I do understand this: within all of this, a storm is forming. Although its intensity will reach its height over the next week, it will gradually diminish in the weeks to come. However, similar to a tornado that eventually fades after causing destruction, this cosmic weather will leave its mark. The consequences will be evident in the decisions we make once the winds die down.

What will endure is the imprint it leaves on us — the impact it has on our emotional and psychological landscape. The storm's legacy will manifest in how we contemplate what emerged, what was dislodged, and what actions we now feel compelled to take as a result.

Do we truly clarify the facts? Or do we let others indulge their imaginations, knowing they will do so regardless?
